Avoid retinoids, strong exfoliants, and chemical peels for at least 48–72 hours before waxing. Also skip direct sun tanning and blood-thinning medications if possible; inform your technician about medications or skin conditions prior to treatment.

For best results, avoid hot showers, saunas, heavy exercise, and makeup for 24 hours. Apply aloe or a calming serum if needed, avoid exfoliation for 48 hours, and protect the area from direct sun to prevent irritation.
